AEX levels on TradingView: FTI, MFA and NL25
The AEX is the index of the 25 largest companies on Euronext Amsterdam. Whether you trade the FTI future, the mini MFA or an NL25 CFD, the same reference levels matter: the pre-market hour, the Amsterdam open, yesterday's close of the index, last week's high and low — and in the afternoon the US open. This page shows which ones, how the index and the future relate, and how to get every level on your chart at the right price.

FTI, MFA and the AEX at a glance
The same market comes in several instruments. They move together, but not at the same price and not at the same hours:
| AEX index | The official index of Euronext Amsterdam: 09:00 – 17:30 Amsterdam time. Its closing and opening prices are the levels many traders watch. |
|---|---|
| FTI (AEX future) | The main future on Euronext. Trades from 08:00 until 22:00 Amsterdam time. €200 per index point. |
| MFA (Mini AEX future) | The same price as FTI at a tenth of the value: €20 per point. Its own order book can make slightly different highs and lows. |
| NL25 / NETH25 CFD | A broker product that follows the index itself, not the future — and trades outside the Amsterdam stock market's hours. |
Basics and Untested Levels recognise every AEX ticker they support — index, FTI, MFA and the CFDs of FOREX.com, IG and Pepperstone — and set themselves up for it. The full list: supported tickers.
One level, two prices
FTI trades at a slightly different price than the AEX — the cash-future difference. Because the AEX future expires every month, that gap usually stays small, but it is there, and it changes every day. Basics converts every index level to the price of the chart you trade, and every FTI level to the price of the index or CFD: one level, always at the right place.
Example: the AEX closed at 1,121.58 on Thursday 8 October 2026; on an FTI chart that close sat at 1,121.90 — a third of a point higher. Small, but on a busy day a third of a point decides whether a level held or broke. See PsC index.
The FTI trading day (Amsterdam time)
| Pre-market | 08:00 – 09:00. Its high, low and middle are PMKT H / PMKT L and PMKT M. |
|---|---|
| Amsterdam hours | 09:00 – 17:30, the hours of Euronext Amsterdam. The price at 09:00 is RTH O; the official index open is RTH O index. |
| US open | 15:30 (14:30 in the weeks when the US and Europe change their clocks on different dates): often the busiest moment of the afternoon — see US RTH O. |
| Evening | 17:30 – 22:00: the future keeps trading after the Amsterdam close. |
Set your chart to Amsterdam time and these hours appear where you expect them — see trading sessions and TradingView tips.

Contract rolls
FTI expires every month, on the third Friday. Around expiry the volume moves to the next month's contract, and FTI1! on TradingView switches with it. Because the contracts are only a month apart, the gap to the index stays small. A level from before the roll can then exist twice: as it traded, and in the new contract's prices. Basics can draw both — see back-adjusted levels. Whether your chart's B-ADJ is on or off doesn't change the levels; it only moves the older candles.
Real-time or delayed data
Without a Euronext real-time subscription TradingView shows FTI 10–15 minutes late. The levels themselves are not affected; a few lines that follow FTI live — such as VWAP and the pre-market range while it forms — then lag by that delay, and Basics shows a small notice.
Set it up in two minutes
- Open an FTI, MFA or NL25 chart on TradingView and set it to Amsterdam time.
- Add Basics — it recognises the ticker and draws the levels.
- Add Untested Levels next to it for the older closes, opens and gaps that are still in play.
Frequently asked questions
Which ticker do I use for the AEX future on TradingView?
FTI1! (EURONEXT:FTI1!) is the continuous front-month contract; MFA1! is the mini. Basics and Untested Levels recognise them, plus the AEX index (EURONEXT:AEX) and the NL25 / NETH25 CFDs of the supported brokers.
Why is the AEX's closing price at a different price on FTI?
FTI trades at a slightly different price than the index — the cash-future difference, which changes every day. Basics converts every index level with the current difference, so the index's close lands at the right price on FTI. See cash-future difference.
Do the levels work on MFA?
Yes. MFA trades at the same price level as FTI, and Basics draws the levels of FTI itself on the MFA chart — the main future, where most of the volume trades. See main future.
Which timezone should my chart use?
Amsterdam time. The open at 09:00 and the close at 17:30 then appear where you expect them, and the US open sits at 15:30.
Is Straydog Zones & Levels for the AEX?
